HUNADO cleared of wrongdoing in weightlifting scandal

CEADO welcomes the findings of the Independent Investigation Team, chaired by Professor Richard McLaren, and congratulates HUNADO to the result of the investigation.

Chairman of the CEADO Board, Michael Cepic, stated: „I was convinced from the beginning, that the allegations made by a German broadcasting station were without basis and I am relieved from the outcome of the investigation.“

CEADO welcomes WADAs decision on Russia

The members of the Central European Anti-Doping Organizations (CEADO) unanimously support the series of sanctions that WADA´s Executive Committee declared on the Russian sport system. The 4-year ban which prohibits Russia to participate in the upcoming Olympic and Paralympic Games in Tokyo and Beijing and in all World Championships organized by WADA Code signatories presents an important message for clean sport and the protection of clean athletes all around the world.
