Michael Cepic on his successful election: "I would like to thank you for the trust you have placed in me. Together with my nine colleagues, I will keep an eye on harmonizing the quality of the anti-doping work done worldwide."
The newly created NADO EAG with representation on WADA's Foundation Board is one of the most important developments of WADA's recent governance reform. It serves to unify the voice of NADOs, which carry out much of the world's anti-doping work.
The 10 members of the NADO EAG are directly elected. In each of the five regions (Africa, Americas, Asia, Europe, Oceania), two members are designated by the relevant NADOs as their representatives. In contrast to other WADA bodies, an elected representation is an innovation, which on the one hand provides more legitimacy, but on the other hand also creates more responsibility.
