The conference focused on enhancing collaboration between European NADOs, strengthening national testing systems, and fostering closer ties with governments, sports bodies, and the World Anti-Doping Agency (WADA). A key topic was the operational independence of NADOs—especially relevant in the context of the ongoing revision of the World Anti-Doping Code (WADC).
WADA President Witold Bańka and Director General Olivier Niggli emphasized the importance of transparent, respectful cooperation and announced efforts to further increase global consistency and trust in anti-doping work. Also present were Deputy Secretary General of the Council of Europe Bjørn Berge and Norway’s State Secretary for Culture and Equality, Erlend Hanstveit.
CEADO welcomes this initiative, which promotes cross-border dialogue and supports the development of strong, independent anti-doping structures across Europe.
