The cooperation entails a five-month project, the preparation of joint reports, the execution of agreed-upon tasks between sessions, and continuous coordination among the contracting parties. The project is carried out under the constant supervision of WADA.
The initiative for this project was launched by WADA, following significant achievements in Serbia in the field of I&I and cooperation between ADAS and the Ministry of Interior of the Republic of Serbia. This cooperation led to the dismantling of an organized criminal group involved in the sale of doping substances, as well as the first criminal convictions in Serbia for this offense.
This achievement represents not only another important success for ADAS, but also for CEADO as a regional organization that unites 11 national antidoping organizations, of which ADAS is a proud member. It highlights the collective commitment, strength, and determination of both ADAS and CEADO in advancing the work against doping and promoting clean sport across the region.
“We are proud that the World Anti-Doping Agency has recognized the results and expertise that ADAS has built over the years. The Memorandum of Understanding with the National Anti-Doping Organization of Ecuador is not only a recognition of our work but also an opportunity to transfer our experience and knowledge to partners in Latin America. We are confident that this cooperation will contribute to the development of an effective anti-doping system in Ecuador, as well as to strengthening the global work against doping in sport,” said Prof. Dr. Milica Vukašinović Vesić, Director of the Anti-Doping Agency of Serbia.
