Representing both NADA Austria and the Central European Anti-Doping Organization (CEADO), Mag. Michael Cepic and in his function as Chair of the WADA NADO Expert Advisory Group (EAG), played a central role in the discussions. Cepic contributed actively to the COP10 Forum and subsequent sessions, focusing on key topics such as the rule of law, scientific research, and innovative approaches to prevention and education.
“The UNESCO Convention is a powerful symbol of shared responsibility and collaboration,” Cepic emphasized. “Only through the exchange of knowledge, experience, and commitment across borders can we protect the integrity of sport worldwide.”
For CEADO, the Convention represents more than a legal framework — it is a living instrument that strengthens fairness, health, and equal opportunities in sport. The 20-year milestone highlights how international cooperation remains essential in tackling emerging threats, fostering research, and supporting education initiatives that promote clean sport at every level.
As an alliance of National Anti-Doping Organizations in Central Europe, CEADO continues to champion regional and cross-border cooperation, reflecting the Convention’s core values and advancing its implementation in practice.
