Bilateral meeting of SADA with National Anti-Doping Agency of the Republic of Moldova

back Meeting SADA-NADO Moldova

As part of the WADA/CEADO/EERADO project, the Slovak Anti-Doping Agency (SADA) signed a cooperation agreement with the National Anti-Doping Agency of Moldova.

Earlier this year, the World Anti-Doping Agency (WADA) had signed Memorandum of understanding (MoU) with the Central European Anti-Doping Organization (CEADO). This cooperation involves specific activities for the development of Anti-Doping programs in the countries of the "Eastern Europe Regional Anti-Doping Organization" (EERADO). Since EERADO ends its operations in 2022 after 13 years of service, it is important to establish individual National Anti-Doping Organizations.

The WADA/CEADO/EERADO Project startet its final phase in October which is dedicated to mentorship and practical cooperation. Every participating CEADO country was assigned to one of the EERADO countries in order to help to share their own experience and knowledge, at the foundation or establishmant of each National Anti-Doping Organization.

SADA together with the Croatian Anti-Doping Organization HZJZ / CIPH will support the creation of an independent Anti-Doping Organization in Moldova. The aim of this project is to offer advice in legislation guidelines and regulations, as well as effective World Anti-Doping Code 2021 implementation, to the colleagues in Moldova. The immedite focus lies on critical problems in the Anti-Doping policy and their resolution.

The bilateral meeting with National Anti-Doping Agency in Moldova took place on 22nd and 23rd November 2021 with participation of the World Anti-Doping Agency representative, Olympia Karavasili.
