The CEO of NADA Austria and Chairman of the Board of the Central European Anti-Doping Organization (CEADO), Mag. Michael Cepic, has been re-elected as one of two European representatives to the NADO Expert Advisory Group (NADO EAG) of the World Anti-Doping Agency (WADA).

This re-election represents not only a personal achievement for Michael Cepic but also an important success for CEADO and the Central European region, highlighting their growing influence and commitment within the global anti-doping community.

Mag. Michael Cepic on his re-election:
“I would like to thank my European colleagues for the trust they have placed in me. This role is both an obligation and an opportunity: an obligation to continue representing the voice of the National Anti-Doping Organizations in a credible and effective way; and an opportunity to work together with the other members of the Expert Advisory Group to drive the qualitative advancement of anti-doping efforts at both the European and global level.”

In each of the five regions — Africa, the Americas, Asia, Europe, and Oceania — two representatives are appointed by the respective National Anti-Doping Organizations (NADOs). From among the ten elected members, a Chair and a Deputy Chair are chosen. Both positions include a seat on WADA’s Foundation Board.
Unlike other WADA bodies, the NADO EAG is based on a direct election process — a feature that not only enhances legitimacy but also brings greater responsibility to those elected.
