The Serbian Anti-Doping Agency ADAS hosted the second Central and Eastern European Anti-Doping Summit. The intention of the Summit was to build stronger, unified anti-doping systems and raise anti-doping standards in Central and Eastern Europe.

The summit was attended by 60 participants from 26 different countries. Also WADA President Witold Banka addressed anti-doping leaders at the 2024 Central and Eastern European Anti-Doping Summit in Belgrade.

Some of the most important agenda points were:

Moreover anti-doping experts showcased their latest advancements in promoting clean sport. The event featured engaging panel discussions, where the participants shared personal experiences and the importance of cooperation in this field. The consensus was clear: while the work for clean sports continues, the expertise and commitment of the CEADO partners will protect clean athletes.

WADA President Banka draw a positive conclusion: “WADA would like to thank the Central European Anti-Doping Organization, the Antidoping Agency of Sebia and the Serbian government for organizing this important event. This summit provides a platform for anti-doping organizations from the region to share best practices and discover new ways to collaborate. While still a relatively new organization, CEADO is already a prime example of what is possible when anti-doping organizations unite towards a common goal. CEADO members have been actively supporting other countries’ NADOs, which has directly enabled some countries to address their compliance requirements. It goes to show what can be achieved through collaborative efforts."
