“Our objective has always been, and continues to be, fostering close cooperation,” said Mr. Michael Cepic, CEO of NADA Austria. “This has been a highly productive journey for both institutions, marked by a robust exchange of expertise, knowledge, and best practices.”
As part of the continued evolution of this partnership, new focal points have been identified. Both organizations have agreed to strengthen their cooperation specifically in the areas of international joint initiatives, education, and doping control. These efforts aim to enhance the effectiveness of anti-doping measures and ensure alignment with evolving international standards.
During his recent visit to Athens, Mr. Cepic also held a high-level meeting with the Greek Minister of Sports Ioannis Vroutsis, where discussions centered on current challenges facing anti-doping agencies and the necessary harmonization of national legislation with the revised World Anti-Doping Code and the forthcoming 2027 International Standards.
Commenting on the outcome of the meetings, Grigoris Leon, CEO of HADA, remarked: “It is particularly encouraging that the discussions in Athens underscored the importance of international collaboration. HADA, in close partnership with CEADO and other relevant stakeholders, is committed to advancing the global effort against doping through joint initiatives and strengthened cooperation.
This renewed emphasis on regional and international coordination underscores the vital role of collaborative frameworks in safeguarding the integrity of sport and promoting clean competition worldwide.
